Description
Experienced production manager
(minimum 5 years and prefer 10)
needed for fast-paced design and
advertising firm. Ability to juggle
upwards of 150 jobs simultaneously is
paramount. The right person will enjoy
steering a variety of projects through
the production process, including
print, interactive and signage.
Excellent communication skills
required, both written and verbal.
Some client interaction. Must like to be
part of a team.
Through knowledge of print required.
Experience with website development
and environmental/exhibit graphics a
plus. Familiarity with Clients & Profits
software extremely helpful.
Responsibilities
• Prepare weekly job schedule as well
as 12-month workload forecast
• Prepare project estimates, budgets
and proposals
• Develop time budgets for creative
and production staff as needed
• Assign work to staff, in conjunction
with creative director and account
executives
• Manage production staff to meet all
deadlines
• Select vendors, issue purchase
orders, approve invoices
• Responsibility for ensuring
production costs are kept on budget
• Assist with proofreading as needed
• Review actual vs estimated costs and
prepare job analysis reports
• Know the local freelance production
pool for overflow work
• Supervise/hire production artists and
traffic manager
• Review monthly client billing
• Handle some press checks
• Field verify locations for internal and
external signage installations
• Manage ad insertions and schedules
